The temple with indoor slopes that twist around like a sazae (turban shell). This is a unique temple with a shape of a double helix

Built in 1796, Sazaedo rises 16.5m in the air. The inside of the temple contains a double spiral staircase so that worshipers can tour through the facility without running into each other. This is a temple with a truly unusual construction that stands out in the world.

Best temple for people who love math
This is a fun, trippy little temple in a double helix shape. It's quite old but well maintained. I'm a sucker for patterns and things like this, so it was one of my favorite things in Fukushima.

Wonderful maze!
I love this mysterious architecture so much! It took me while to figure out how this is designed / made. The sound of wood creaking added extra charm to its personality~ You can get some explanation by the guy who is in charge of this building too! Very unique and mysterious place!! If you are in Fukushima, it's worth stopping by here!
