A shopping mall inside Tokyo Disney Resort
Ikspiari was opened in 2000 under the concept of “a town filled with stories and entertainment”, and is a large-scale shopping mall located inside the popular Tokyo Disney Resort. Each of the 9 zones making up Ikspiari has a beautiful scenery ranging from the south of France to Hollywood, so that instead of the usual box-like buildings in a commercial complex, the mall is a “dream town”. It’s a shopping town that makes you feel the magic that is only found at a Disney Resort. It’s perfectly fine if you don’t head over to Disneyland, since you can spend an entire day shopping without ever getting bored.
9 zones with their own distinct characters
There are a total of 9 zones with 140 shops, restaurants and movie theaters that include The Courtyard with a food court and international supermarket that has the appearance of an old brick market, an avenue from a southern French town, Museum Lane which is lined with shops for hobbies and miscellaneous goods with that museum-like atmosphere, and Theater Front which has restaurants and Cinema Complex which is made up to look like a nighttime Hollywood street. Search for the things that you’re interested in while taking a peek into these individualistic shops in the plazas and alleys. Also there is an original craft beer, Harvest Moon, at Ikspiari which was crafted by Japan’s leading beer taster and is brewed at Roti’s House, one of the restaurants on Chef’s Row on the 4th floor. Included in their normal rotation of 5 beers, there are also seasonal beers sold which are popular. Having just-brewed beer along with flame-grilled meat at the restaurant is highly recommended.
