天龍寺の北側、野宮神社から大河内山荘まで続く竹林の道。空を覆うようにそびえる竹林は、京都の暑い夏を忘れさせる涼やかな景色が見事。嵐山・嵯峨野を代表する風景として知られている。

This bamboo forest is very spiritual place. Here was so quiet and cool though I went here on a really hot day in August. I saw many people wearing kimono here. You can access by trolley or on foot. If you go to Arashiyama area in Kyoto, you can't miss this forest.
