A flower theme village which you can enjoy all year
On the grounds of the center which have been built to resemble those of a European farm village, everyone from families and couples can enjoy features such as the 15m-tall observation tower, the flower garden including roses and tulips, the maze of sunflowers and a children’s playground. There are also many events during the year with nighttime illumination during the summer holidays and Christmas season. It is truly the world of Heidi with Mt. Fuji, Mt. Yatsugatake and the Southern Alps surrounding the village.
Japan’s longest rose corridor
One of the highlights of Heidi’s Village is the huge number of roses, and annually in June, 2300 roses representing 430 varieties bloom all at once. The 230-meter rose corridor is the longest in Japan where you can enjoy the beauty of the many different colors of rose including white and yellow and take in their elegant fragrance. You are also able to board the bus that operates through the large village and even try the Segways which run through the flower fields and off-road.
Clara-kan where you can also enjoy a day-trip onsen
The village also has the accommodation facility known as Clara-kan. This facility includes names relating to the characters from the famous anime starting with Clara-kan itself. For example, there is Peter’s Yard where you can enjoy sliding down on a sled, Mr. Sesemann’s Parlor which becomes a bar at night, and Joseph’s Yard where dogs can run freely. The natural hot spring can be used on day trips and there is even an open-air bath for your beloved dog. In the village fields, you can pick cherries, pluck blueberries, harvest vegetables and enjoy a variety of other activities.
