About

Everything is 100 yen! The joy of coming across a bargain

In Japan, there are 4 major 100-yen shops starting with Daiso and then Can Do, Seria and Watts. The 100-yen shops are not only about the variety of those goods, but also about the quality and high sense that can scarcely be imagined for 100 yen which make for their high popularity. To distinguish themselves from each other, there has been a development of original goods recently and an increase in stylish products for the home to gradually increase their popularity. Along with products that are necessary for daily living, a variety of other goods such as foods, convenient products and party goods are being sold at 100 yen. Furthermore in recent years, there has also been a stockpiling of items of increasing quality at higher prices of 200 yen, 300 yen and higher so that a varied lineup of products can be enjoyed that hasn’t been seen before. The items can be easily bought at reasonable prices no matter what they are with one of Daiso’s special features being the excitement of finding that bargain at an unbelievable 100-yen.

Japanese souvenirs are also just 100 yen! The great location of the Daiso Harajuku shop

Harajuku is popular with domestic and foreign tourists with its distinctive shops. In the area in particular, there is the especially diverse Takeshita Street. Daiso Harajuku is a large 3-story store on Takeshita Street crowded with a variety of stores which have looked into young cosplayers and fashion trends. Cheap yet solid 100-yen goods are available at Daiso such as fans, chopsticks and Japanese tableware which are great for foreign tourists as souvenirs. Because of the many foreign tourists, the floor guide for Daiso Harajuku is in both Japanese and English to provide easy enjoyable shopping.
