Head for the center of Osaka cuisine, Dotombori. While admiring the brash and colorful signboards of this lively downtown area and enjoying the walk, drop by the Kamigata Ukiyoe Museum.
A tranquil art museum located in Dotombori. Somewhat different from the ukiyo-e of Edo (present-day Tokyo), Kamigata (Kansai) ukiyo-e (also known as Osaka Prints) whose attractive works are filled with humanity can be appreciated here.
Participate in a workshop involving takoyaki, the famous dish of Osaka. Watch takoyaki actually being made by the pros and even enjoy making your own takoyaki. Visitors can even apply to make wax models of the dish.
Walk through the Minami area which is the town of kuidaore including Dotombori. Although you can fully enjoy the food of Osaka while forgetting about the time, it’s also recommended that you do some shopping and walking through the kitchenware district of Sennichimae Doguyasuji Shopping Street (however be aware that many of the stores close at 6:00pm).
