Explore The Osaka Museum of Housing and Living where you can enjoy displays associated with housing and lifestyle along with a recreation of an Edo Era town. There is also a very popular attraction of trying on kimono and taking a commemorative photo with the town as a backdrop. However, this is only open to the first 300 visitors so please make arrangements at Reception as soon as you enter the museum. To get to the museum, get off at Tenjinbashisuji 6-chome Station on the subway. Then go out Exit No. 3 which is connected to the basement floor of the Osaka Municipal Housing Information Center and take the elevator up to the 8th floor where the museum is located.
Take a walk through Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Street which is famous as Japan’s longest arcade shopping district. As you experience the life of the local people here, you can also take part in the shopping and the superb Osakan dishes of the regular people. It’s just a short hop from The Osaka Museum of Housing and Living.
