Nagoya Castle, which is known as the symbol of the city, is a large-scale castle that was completed at the beginning of the 17th century during the Warring States period. The current castle is a restoration after it was burned down during the war. A museum is located inside the castle tower where you can view articles from those times, art works, and a replica of the famous “Kin-no-Shachihoko” (The Golden Mythical Carp), a symbol of the castle.

A temple located in the old Osu district with the feeling of an ancient downtown. Constructed in 1333, it was moved to its present location in 1612. Following the burning of the current structure during the war, it was restored in 1970. The temple has continued to be admired through its long history by the local residents.
