A park in the city where you can catch your breath
Odori Park continues for 1.5 km in the center of Sapporo, Hokkaido. The lush green park matches well with TV Tower and the central city streets, and it plays a role as a place of respite for the many people coming and going. Selected as one of The Top 100 Cityscapes, Odori Park has contributed to the increase in greenery within Sapporo. From April to autumn, the various flowers blooming in the area seek to calm tourists’ hearts. The flower beds during the seasons of flowers are a scenic sight. 42 business enterprises have taken part in the spring and summer flower beds as well as flower beds for competitions which beautifully decorate the park. It spreads from 1-chome to 12-chome, and you can enjoy strolling up the area with the presence of historic stone monuments and other places to see in each area.
