1796年建立にされた、高さ16.5mのお堂。堂内が2重の螺旋階段となっており、参拝者がすれ違うことなくひと巡りできる。世界でも極めて珍しい構造を持つお堂である。

This is a fun, trippy little temple in a double helix shape. It's quite old but well maintained.
I'm a sucker for patterns and things like this, so it was one of my favorite things in Fukushima.

I love this mysterious architecture so much! It took me while to figure out how this is designed / made.
The sound of wood creaking added extra charm to its personality~
You can get some explanation by the guy who is in charge of this building too!
