About

A resort spot popular for the first local beer on the Kiyosato Highland

Moegi-no-Mura Village which is located in the woods of Kiyosato Highland has many distinctive shops. For instance, there is Mayfair in the Blueberry Hill complex which displays more than 300 teddy bears. The emerald-green teddy bear, Moesuke, is the official mascot for Moegi-no-Mura which is popular with the ladies. You can try the local beer in Kiyosato, Touchdown, at Brew Pub Restaurant Rock. At Rock, there is a variety of types of beer ranging from premium beer to fruity Pilseners and a lot of visitors come specifically for the local brew. With facilities such as the fragrance shop Fair Heaven which started with some herbs and the merry-go-round standing in the middle of the woods, there is an attractive fantastical atmosphere.

The field ballet is a one-of-a-kind performance in Japan

Kiyosato Field Ballet is a summer event at Moegi-no-Mura Village. At the outdoor theater in the center of the village, the ballet is performed for about 2 weeks annually from July to August. There are even nighttime performances so that viewing the ballet in a location surrounded by the woods and under moonlight makes for an impressive experience that differs from that inside a regular theater.

The music box museum with valuable antiques

The Hall of Halls is a museum which has gathered antique music boxes and mechanical musical instruments. The displays of the world’s music boxes and musical instruments include the Limonaire 1900 pipe organ which was featured at the 1900 Paris World Fair and the one-of-a-kind Mozart Barrel Organ playing dreamy famous songs composed by Mozart himself just for automatic instruments. You can get that unique experience of hearing live performances by musicians, making your own music box and even composing your own original song.
