Foot of Mt. Fuji 1 Day Itinerary (Arakurayama Sengen Park, Oshino Hakkai, Fuji-Q Highland)

With the grand Mt. Fuji as a backdrop, this is a park popular for its superb scene of its soaring red 5-storey pagoda. From the top of the 398 stairs, you can have a grand view of the city below.

Visit this village that is the source of the underground water of Mt. Fuji that is known as “holy water”. The 8 spring ponds in the area have been designated nationally as Natural Monuments and have been recognized as a part of the World Heritage site of Mt. Fuji.

Oshino soba is recommended for lunch. There are many restaurants and soba places around the Oshino Hakkai area so that you can have this soba which uses the spring water from Mt. Fuji. A walk around Oshino Village after lunch is also great.

Head for Fuji-Q Highland, the amusement park famous for its thrilling attractions. Along with 4 kinds of roller coasters, there are other notable sites including a terrifying horror house. There is even an onsen facility with a great view of Mt. Fuji so it’s wonderful to relax there. There are also attractions appealing to small children so you can enjoy the park with the entire family.
