Take a stroll through the park with the remains of the castle. You can get a panoramic view of Sendai from the statue of Masamune Date, the symbol of the city. If you have time, visit the Sendai City Museum which displays the articles of the Date family. Head for Honmaru Kaikan Hall for lunch where you can dine on Japanese dishes such as the famous beef tongue.
