The residential area where the foreigners lived in the 19th century. Retro Western-style buildings stand here with about 20 of them open to the public for an enjoyable tour. There are also many restaurants and cafés so it is recommended to have that elegant lunch. Afterwards, head over towards Meriken Park. Using the intracity City Loop buses is convenient.

This park preserves the area which was affected by the Great Hanshin earthquake that occurred on January 17th 1995. There are remains such as the collapsed breakwaters so that you can feel the menace of the earthquake.
