A temple with magnificent cultural assets modeled after famous ancient architecture from all over Japan

View Gallery
This is a Buddhist temple built by the Osakan industrialist Kozo Kōsanji in memory of his departed mother. Within the temple grounds, there are many examples of architecture that have been patterned after other famous religious structures including Yomeimon Gate at Nikkō Tōshō-gū Shrine and a Main Hall resembling the Phoenix Hall of Byōdō-in Temple in Kyoto. To the north of the grounds, there is the Miraishin-no-Oka (Hill of Hope) monument which covers a 5000㎡ area with Italian marble from where you can view the Setoda area and the sea.
