A picturesque island floating on the Seto Inland Sea, there are plenty of places to see including art museums and temples. You can enjoy wonderful island scenery and the bustling old-fashioned townscape through places such as the many great bridges connected by the Shimanami Expressway and the beautiful Sunset Beach at dusk. The area also boasts the largest cultivation of lemons in the country with lemon ramen and lemon cake being famous there.
