Born and raised for the first several years of his life in the town of Setoda on Ikuchi Island in the Seto Inland Sea, this is the art museum for master Japanese painter Ikuo Hirayama. The museum has a collection of representative works having the motif of Buddhism and the Silk Road along with his “Fifty-Three Stages on the Shimanami Highway” reflecting the local Shimanami area. You can also view his valuable works when he was a child.
