Yamanashi is located south west from Tokyo, the area is known from its beautiful sights of Mt.Fuji and the beautiful nature as well as the Fuji-q Highland and the amazing rollercoasters there. But along the beautiful nature around the area are hidden some beautiful and peacefull Temples and Shrines .From these the four most well known Temples and shrines are the Kentokusan Erin-ji Temple, Kai Zenko-ji Temple, Kuon-ji Temple and Takeda Shrine. Kuon-ji Temple
There are many highlights at this temple including one of Japan’s 3 great gates known as the Sanmon, the 287 stone steps, the ceiling painting in the Main Hall and the 5-story pagoda. Many visitors come during the memorial events in the autumn and cherry blossom season in the spring.

Takeda Shrine
A popular shrine which is visited by over 100,000 people for the New Year’s hatsumode celebrations, there are many things to see including remnants of the buildings from the ancient times, a customary festival and a repository with valuable items on display.

Kai Zenko-ji Temple
A famous temple in Yamanashi Prefecture. With many highlights such as the overwhelming scale of the main gate, and the kaidan meguri passage through the Main Hall and the darkness, there are many people who visit this temple as well as the Zenko-ji Temple in Nagano Prefecture.

Kentokusan Erin-ji Temple
The temple is the final resting place for General Takeda and contains buildings including the repository with heirlooms on display and a popular garden with attractive scenes all throughout the year.
