Unazuki Hot Springs (Onsen)

Unazuki Onsen is the first stop on the Kurobe Gorge Railway, so why not visit on your way to Kurobe Dam. You can enjoy the hot springs and you can also try the locally brewed beer using the water from the Kurobe River.

Access From Tokyo, get on the Shinkansen “Hakutaka” bound for Kanazawa and get off at Kurobe Unazuki station. Walk (9 min) to Shin-Kurobe station on the Toyama Chitetsu Line, get on till Unazuki Onsen station.

Access From Tokyo, take the Shinkansen “Kagayaki” bound for Kanazawa and get off at Toyama station. Change lines to the Ainokaze-Toyama line and get off at Takaoka station. Change lines to the JR Himi line until Himi station. It’s a 10 min. walk from there.

Kuronagi Hot Springs (Onsen)

Kuronagi hot springs is located in the depths of Kurobe valley. You cannot reach Kuronagi Onsen by car, only by Kurobe Gorge Railway. And the hot springs is closed in the winter because the railway is not operational during the period of snow.

Access Get on the Kurobe Kyouku Tetsudo Line from Unazuki station and get off at Kuronagi station. After getting off, walk through the tunnel along the railroad and head for the road taking you to the second Kuronagi power plant.

Omaki Hot Springs (Onsen)

Access From Tokyo, take the Shinkansen “Kagayaki” to Toyama station. Then take the Ainokaze Toyama Tetsudo and get off at Takaoka station. From the north exit bus terminal, get on the bus bound for Komaki dam (1h 15 min). At Komaki Dam, get on the Shogawa pleasure boat for Omaki onsen (30 min)
