Takadachi Gikeido Hall

The final resting place for tragic hero, Yoshitsune Minamoto, his soul rests on lovely high ground overlooking the flowing Kitakami River

Takadachi was the final arrival place in Tohoku for Yoshitsune Minamoto who was followed by men of influence and magnificent heroic tales in the 12th century. In the small tranquil hall, a wooden statue of Yoshitsune is enshrined.
