The Morioka History and Culture Museum is filled with materials revealing the history and traditional culture of Morioka which flourished as a city built around a castle. You can view valuable historical materials including the weaponry, clothing and art of the Nambu clan.

Open: April-October 9am~7pm November-March 9am~6pm Close: The 3rd Tuesday of every month (if the Tuesday lands on a holiday, then the next day will be closed) New Year’s holidays (December 31st-January 1st)
