Located 8km away from the city of Himeji, this is a magnificent temple on Mt. Shosha. It is also well known as the shooting location for “The Last Samurai” which starred Tom Cruise. Take the ropeway from the foot of the mountain to reach Engyo-ji, and then take a walk through the large tranquil temple surrounded by the nature of the mountain.
