Known as Temple 51 on the Shikoku 88-Temple Pilgrimage, ancient Ishite-ji was first established in the year 728. With many cultural assets such as the Sanmon gate and the three-storey pagoda designated as National Treasures or National Important Cultural Properties, the beautiful temple has been awarded one star in the Michelin Guide.
