We visited Ouchi-juku for a couple of hours on a weekday and had a lovely time. You can take a very short hike up the hill to get an even better view of the straw-roofed huts. There is also really great food, negi soba, here.
Eating soba noodles with spring onion was just outstanding! So much fun, watch out for the spring onion it might be too spicy. But totally worth it.
Lots of streams around the town calmed me down.
Very exciting experience yet so peaceful!
