The climb up to mt.Fuji was pretty rough and took almost a day, specially if you are not in the best of shapes as some of my friends, but it is totally worth it. It is beautiful the see Fuji and how the area and view started to change a lot the further up you went. We had to rest for couple of hours in a hut, because it was so dark. One we continued we got up just in the time to see the sunrise and it was breath taking and anyone who can should climb up mt Fuji.
Climbing Mount Fuji is amazing. Even though when I climbed it was slightly off season and snowing near the top, I had the most enjoyable experience. I stayed in a mountain hut and got to see the most stunning sunrise I have ever seen. It was worth ever second.
The proverb about climbing to the top of Mount Fuji only once is perhaps true, however, I will happily climb it again, halfway, just to get the exhilarating feeling of standing above the clouds. Two priceless experiences that can be completed in half a day.
