Tenugui (Hand Towels)

Tenugui have come to be used in many different ways since the ancient days of Japan. At shops such as Asakusa’s Fujiya, tenugui that have been dyed by craftsmen through traditional techniques can be purchased. The towels can be used in a myriad of ways such as wiping away sweat, and as tea towels and wrapping. The beautiful patterns of the towels have also made them popular as art to be framed and decorated within a room.
