Our Favourite way from Tokyo to Naha
Tokyo to Naha, Okinawa | Train, Monorail, ANA or JAL Flight, Monorail | From 11,000 yen | 4.5 to 5 hours | 3 Transfers |
Our favourite way to get to Naha from Tokyo is to fly from Haneda Airport with one of Japan’s main domestic airlines: JAL or ANA. These two airlines provide services of the highest quality, and have numerous bonus features that are unavailable on LCCs. Standard ticket fares for these flights start at around 46,090 yen but, through special offers and by booking in advance, you can easily find tickets for a lot less. Also, flying from Haneda Airport gives you an advantage over flying from Narita Airport in that it takes half as much time to get to the former from central Tokyo. The flight duration is 2 hours and 45 minutes to which you would need to add the time needed for transportation to and from the airports. To reach Haneda Airport from Tokyo you will first have to take either the JR Yamanote line or the JR Keihin Tohoku line to Hamamatsucho Station before transferring to the Tokyo Monorail line. This section of the trip will cost you 650 yen and will take approximately 40 minutes. From Naha Airport you can take the monorail into central Naha. The monorail stops at various areas on the way to Shuri, which is 27 minutes away. The base fare is 230 yen and the maximum fare is 330 yen for Shuri. All in all, the trip should take 4.5 to 5 hours from central Tokyo to central Naha in Okinawa. All in all, the trip should take 4.5 to 5 hours from central Tokyo to central Naha in Okinawa
