This is the museum devoted to Itchiku Kubota who has gained high acclaim internationally as a dyeing artist with his Tsujigahana technique. In the pyramidal main building which uses central pillars of cypress more than a thousand years old, you can view Kubota’s masterpieces and works based on the theme of Mt. Fuji. In addition, there are many things to see in the new wing such as the Tombodama Art Gallery and a garden. The museum has earned three stars in the Michelin Green Guide.
