The hyuganatsu, born from a spontaneous mutation of the yuzu, was first discovered in Miyazaki Prefecture in 1820. Its crisp tanginess and juicy pulp has a refreshing flavor. Between March and the middle of May, it can be seen being sold along the side of the road.
