The sake of Kochi is well-known for its elegant and dry taste as a liquor which goes well with the fine cuisine of the prefecture including sliced and seared bonito. The long tradition of sake-brewing from the Edo Era within the plentiful mountains and forest streams has continued to nurture the sake of Kochi.
