Ultimate Guide to Otaru

Head for the observation point on Mt. Tengu which is said to be Otaru’s best scenic view. Getting up to the peak by ropeway, enjoy the panoramic view of the Sea of Japan and the city. At the peak, there is Shimarisu (Chipmunk) Park and a plaza where you can take a short nature walk. From Otaru Station, it takes about 20 minutes by local bus or taxi.
