Goura Onsen

Flourishing since ancient times as a land of cottages, this is an onsen area with an elegant garden and a park. You can enjoy many kinds of onsen in this region which draws water from Owakudani and Mt. Soun. The waters that have been called “The Five Pastel Colors” have the ability to promote beautiful skin, get rid of chills and relieve stress among other ailments. Every year on August 16th, there is the summer tradition of the Daimonji Yaki bonfires.
