Eihei-ji Temple
This is the main temple of Japan’s Soto sect, controlling 15,000 branch temples. Walk through the corridors of this tranquil Zen temple until you reach the hatto lecture hall. The view of the mountain scenery spreads out and will cleanse your soul.

Heisen-ji Temple Hakusan Shrine
This shrine is located in the Echizen district where Mount Haku, one of Japan’s Three Great Sacred Mountains, is worshiped. You will be able to see the remains of the buildings which were destroyed in the 16th century, and also the restored shrine.
