About

A large area of relaxation

Neko no Iru Kyukeisho Ni-Kyu-Kyu is unique in that it has 4 times the area of the average cat café. Located in back of the Ikebukuro branch of Tokyu Hands, this café is popular for customers to unwind with cats within this large space. The café provides a variety of seating to enjoy with the 20 cats such as comfy sofas, tatami seating that can accommodate a kotatsu table during winter, and armchairs so that individuals and groups can easily come over. Also with sound-absorbing measures in place, you can enjoy an even quieter and relaxing time compared to other cafés. You can also relax with the cats while reading from the owner’s collection of approximately 2000 manga and magazines. There is an all-you-can-drink counter for 350 yen per person and an opportunity to feed the cats called “Neko no Oyatsu” which is limited to 8 customers per day. Furthermore, another great advantage is that you can freely bring in your own food and drink. In addition, there are free massage chairs, cellphone rechargers, PCs and wireless LAN.

Have a grand time with the cats

Cats are nocturnal animals by nature so that adults sleep 14 hours a day while kittens sleep 20 hours on average. So, although they tend to sleep a lot during the afternoon, the cats are quite frisky at around 11 am just when the café opens and after sunset. Their feeding times are at 11:30 am and 9 pm so that you can see the adorable sight of the cats in a row eating away. Toys for the cats can be brought into the café only if they are new items, and treats for them can also be freely given to them as long as the food is additive-free. Photographs are also allowed if the flash is turned off on the cameras. There are age restrictions so please be aware that children under elementary school age are not allowed in the café. If you have the chance, why not have a relaxing time at this unique café?
