The spiny lobster harvested in the rich fishing grounds where the warm Kuroshio Current flows has a sweet and firm flesh which makes it a delicious food as sashimi, a grilled dish or even as an ingredient in soup among other culinary uses. Ise ebi are allowed to be fished from the middle of September, but the peak season ranges from October to December.
