Yaseuma

A traditional Oita snack that has been around since the Heian Era, yaseuma has a simple taste from natural ingredients

Flour and water form a dough which is kneaded, formed into noodles and then boiled after which kinako and sugar are sprinkled on top to create this regional dish from the old times. Yaki yaseuma which involves yaseuma being fried like rice crackers is famous as a brand sweet of Oita Prefecture.
