The quickest way to get to Narita airport from Tokyo is either by taking the direct JR Narita Express (NEX) or by taking the Keisei Skyliner from Nippori. The former will cost you 3000 yen for a one way ticket, but foreign travellers can get a return ticket at the discounted price of 4000 yen that is valid for 2 weeks. The Keisei Skyliner route requires you to first reach Nippori by taking the JR Yamanote line, or the JR Keihin-Tohoku line, from Tokyo. If you need to get to the airport late at night or extra early in the morning, we recommend you consider the highway bus. Their late-night and early morning service comes at the price of 2,000 yen (double that of the normal daytime rate) but is still considerably cheaper than if you took a taxi. Please note that the late-night service does not stop at terminal 1. Normal daytime service will be resumed from 5:40 and until 18:10.
