A museum to learn about 1300-year-old traditions and the Shikinen Sengu ceremonies

The Sengu Museum introduces the Shikinen Sengu ceremonies in which the main buildings of the Inner and Outer Shrines at Ise Jingu Shrine are rebuilt every 20 years with the objects of worship returned to the new buildings. Commentary is given via HDTV and a full-scale model of the main sanctuary is on display.
