Honko-ji Temple

A temple which boasts being the largest wooden structure in the Hida district, built by Hida craftsmen

The stately main hall built from cypress wood is said to be the largest wooden structure in the Hida district and was constructed by Hida craftsmen. Honko-ji is also famous for being one of the temples involved in the 300-year-old Santera Mairi festival held every January 15th.
