Homemade miso, mushrooms, edible wild plants, onions and other local vegetables are placed on top of a magnolia leaf and grilled on a small tabletop stove before being eaten as an example of the regional cuisine in the Hida Takayama region. Also popular is the Hoba Misoyaki with special Hida beef.
