Negisoba

A stalk of green onion in a bowl of soba? Negisoba is a celebratory dish wishing for the prosperity of one’s descendants

A famous dish of the Ouchi-juku neighborhood of old thatched-roof houses, the stalk of green onion in the bowl is used instead of chopsticks to eat the soba while also gnawing on it as a condiment. Negisoba is a traditional dish at weddings.

Delicious!
Negi soba is great! It was cool and refreshing. You can eat the raw leek that it comes with or just use the leek to scoop noodles into your mouth. I ended up eating about half of mine :)
