About

A general public park consisting of 5 zones

Andersen Park is a facility rich in nature which takes on the image of Denmark. Divided into the 5 zones of the Naughtiness Kingdom, Fairy Tale Hill, Children’s Museum, a Natural Experience Zone and Flower Castle, the park has everything for children and adults to enjoy. The world-famous tourist review site, TripAdvisor, ranked the park at No. 3 and was even ranked at No. 10 among the most popular theme parks in Asia.

The park takes on the motif of Andersen’s fairy tales

The park was built with the wholehearted cooperation of the city of Odense in Denmark, the birthplace of fairy tale author Hans Christian Andersen and the sister city to Funabashi City. A Danish-style windmill and a farm have been built on the top of Fairy Tale Hill to recreate a Danish rural landscape from the 1800s. In the Flower Castle zone, there are art works and playground facilities based on Andersen’s fairy tales. And within the park, you can always enjoy the 50,000 examples of flora representing 100 species with many highlights including a flower maze and blooming tulips in mid-winter.

The Naughtiness Kingdom, a hit with the kids

Plenty of playground facilities populate this large zone of approximately 30ha. In the Naughtiness Kingdom, the kids can have fun through 4 courses with the field athletic and playground facilities at Juemu Tower, the huge 13m-tall slide at Naughtiness Castle, Nijino Pond where you can enjoy water activities during the summer and the Spring of Archimedes. Along with an animal petting zoo and a mini-car area, there is the Children’s Museum with its 8 ateliers where a variety of workshops for things such as woodblock prints and pottery are held so that the entire day can be enjoyed at the park.
