About

A popular store where lineups can occur on the first selling day of the latest products and popular models

Yodobashi Camera is the largest electronic goods store in Japan. It sells everything from household goods such as TV sets, refrigerators and washing machines to multimedia gadgets such as personal computers and cameras. Yodobashi Akiba is a huge multi-purpose facility which stands out even in the electronics shop-filled area of Akihabara. Among its 9 floors, floors 1 to 6 belong to Yodobashi. On the 1st and 2nd floors, there is the Apple Store and products such as cellphones and personal computers, while on the 3rd and 4th floors, there is general audiovisual equipment and camera equipment, along with an area selling Japanese souvenirs including fans, postcards, and light summer clothing. On the 5th and 6th floors, there are also popular items for overseas tourists such as kitchen appliances and game platforms.

Many different stores to enjoy shopping and cuisine

Why highly-competitive Akihabara continues to be popular lies not only in the multimedia products but also in the large variety of stores in the area which appeals to young people and foreign tourists alike. It’s possible for the whole family to spend an enjoyable time at the same Yodobashi even if there is no interest in electronic goods due to its restaurants, fashion areas, cafés and relaxation facilities. On the 7th floor, there are shops such as Tower Records, a bookstore and a relaxation salon. As well, there is also a store specializing in bags and other small items, an optician, and a men’s clothing store. The 8th floor specializes in a variety of restaurants centering around Japanese cuisine, so it’s great for dates and dinners. The floor has just been renovated so it has become the new landmark for cuisine in Akihabara. On the 9th floor, there is also a golfing range and a batting center where you can get some exercise and refresh yourself.
