About

A rejuvenated tourist spot

Located centrally on the main island of Okinawa in Nago City, the facility was given a facelift for its 40th anniversary in 2013. It is attractive for the shops and sweets along with the 3 zones that visitors tour while hearing a fantastical story. One enjoyable feature is the Fruits Café where you can dine on seasonal fruits and sweets. You will have your fill of dishes such as a fruit boat consisting of a mountain of seasonal fruits piled into a pineapple half-shell and super desserts with fruits generously topping the famous ice cream of Okinawa, Blue Seal. There is also plenty to find at the shop with all sorts of Okinawan souvenirs.

The interactive facility of The Tale of The Tropical Kingdom

The Tale of the Tropical Kingdom is a new attraction where you can learn about fruits while enjoying the world of a special story. To rescue a king who has been kidnapped over to the Land of the Sprites, you have to answer a quiz at certain points in the facility while enjoying the story, gathering stamps along the way. Everyone from children to adults can enjoy the adventure while getting hints to answer the questions.

3 distinct zones

The Fruits Zone with the sweet scent of fruits wafting inside the area is the largest zone in the orchard. More than 30 types of fruits are on display including bananas, papayas and the jackfruit, the world’s largest fruit. In the Butterfly Zone, you will encounter the tree nymph butterfly with the world’s largest wingspan for a butterfly at 13cm. Its unusually golden chrysalis is also something not to be missed. The Bird Zone is an area where colorful birds fly freely. When you get a cup of syrup that is sold at the entrance which is a favorite of the birds, you will attract the rainbow lorikeets. Having them sit on your arms and shoulders makes for an adorable sight.
